TeamTRI are innovators, ground-breakers, trend-setters, and front-runners in the world of Leadership training – an industry and institution that’s become ever-present and ever-more important due, in large part, to the efforts of TRI and its network of experts. Nearly 25 years have passed since TRI first hit the American stage, and on the eve of its tremendous silver milestone, the company was ready to take a fresh look at its brand image and strengthen it for the next quarter-century.
That's where Grey Dahlia comes in.
The existing brand was tried, true and trusted within TRI’s sphere of influence, but in order to grow the brand image needed a strategic and creative update. The team needed an image that set it apart in the marketplace and engenders an immediate sense of innovation, prestige and results. It needed an image that fortifies the team’s position as an educational pillar, and as a brain-trust for some of the world’s most talented, charismatic, impassioned and experienced leadership professionals.
And, of course, it needs to leverage the integrity and instant familiarity of its signature sleek triangular symbol, and forward-leaning lettering.
We picture Team TRI as an organization that captures the pioneering spirits of discovery, industry, and self-reliance. We picture it as a place, like the Jedi Temple – an institution from the future with towering archives filled with endless data. A place where modern explorers come to share and exchange knowledge with like-minded fellows and sage mentors and advisors.
Imagine an elite conservatory that imparts those who pass through its halls with wisdom, experience, confidence and empowerment. A place that does this through cutting-edge technology, one-on-one interaction, symposiums, forums and even games.
We’ve imagined an identity system for TeamTRI that positions the brand as if it were this very place we’ve conjured up.
Our approach was to buld a simple logo, first and foremost. With the logo as a strong foundation, it can support the expansive and multi-faceted library of supporting elements we have planned for TeamTRI – an organization with many faces.
We’ve created a logo that draws from years of familiarity with the existing TRI brand, but is pared down to its most simple elements. The wire-form triangle emblem stands out as a sigil from the future – glowing and mysterious but confident and strong. The TeamTRI typeface is rounded, softening the look with youthfulness. Its baseline is masked just slightly as if by the silhouette of the horizon.
The simple triangle mark also serves as a vehicle for other divisional identifiers – or, as we’re calling them, runes.
Light Team Realty is an Orlando, Florida, based real estate group specializing in Lake Nona and the surrounding areas. They came to us with a mission to seriously upgrade their brand image – tastefully, and carefully with their already-huge client base in mind – a group very familiar with their existing look.
Led by Jim and Carey Light, two agents eager to break the hurried and impersonal mold of traditional agencies, the team needed a bold new image that reflects their values and forward-thinking approach to a decades-old industry.
Together, we re-energized their brand, brought it a modern face, and then built an arsenal of creative assets – from simple collateral systems & signage, to digital advertising templates, fully branded YouTube pages, newsletters, brochures, a website… and the list goes on!
Fresh but familiar. Passionate but professional. Bold, Bright and balanced.
These are the qualities you’ll find in approach. Inspired by modern magazine layout and design, we gave the brand a distinctive and stand-out new look while keeping the integrity of its original foundation.
The logotype is anchored by familiar script lettering, but with a subtle upgrade to a more contemporary typeface. We’ve also emphasized the importance of the team approach, through the selection of a bold and clear, sans-serif typeface for the eponymous word. We find this combination of type also helps convey the melding of traditional values (through the script) with current tools and tactics (through the sans-serif).

We had an absolute blast assembling these cute cocktails frame by frame in these Summery Instagram videos for Red Bull. We wanted these to have an almost rustic, DIY, charm – just like the easy-to-make mocktails in the series.
We hope to do even more of these in the future, especially now that we have access to California's bounty of fresh, and beautiful fruits!
Staci Hershey, a Fort Lauderdale attorney, needed an original brand image that reflects her distinct pride for South Florida art and architecture.
We dove in and created a logo and surrounding treatment that echoes a distinctly South Beach motif with an air of class and sophistication. The treatment includes detailed ornaments and patterns, inspired by the glamorous Art Deco period of design. Our goal was to bring a playful maturity to the designs that communicate she's an established entity, attuned to traditional business values but young enough to offer a fresh perspective.
The color palette features turquoise and cream with a splash of regal purple laced with gold. The gilded leaves that lace the stems of the H add a second layer of detail and a decidedly Floridian fanfare.
Logo and collateral designs for Dominique Y. Martinez, Attorney at Law in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We took a metropolitan approach and added a touch of art-deco in the lettering – the tall characters are like the city skyscrapers in Fort Laudy. We inlaid a modernist Latin/European pattern that we think conveys character and attention to detail.
Here's a little pre-show loop we made for Red Bull, and Wet Republic, Ultra Pool at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This needed to be a sleek, high-level loop that subtly introduces the Red Bull lineup and builds the partygoers up for the amazing DJ set that's sure to follow.
The McKenzie Center & Dr. William McKenzie specializes in implant dentistry and treating gum disease. As the center moves closer to 25 years of service, it was time for a bit of re-branding. We worked carefully to keep the integrity and familiarity of your existing brand, while giving it something new at the same time.
Our updated design includes new typefaces and a modified monogram. We continued using their signature monogrammed 'M' as a key element throughout future designs, but with a brushed letter to add just a little more motion and a little more detail.
We kept their color palette intact, and added in a subtle layer of texture in the form of luxurious dark wood paneling. Texture like this adds detail and character to the identity – but more than that it adds a touch of refinement that we think helps position The McKenzie Center as a high caliber practice.

This identity appears to be rooted in classic tradition and professional magnetism. The gilded rays and triangle cut of the monogram give it the look of currency. The lettering, pallette and patterns present modern femininity and convey strength and confidence.
The pallete is more serious and down to business, while the gold-foil texture and chevrons relay youth.
L’union Suite is a Haitian-American lifestyle, tourism, culture, society and entertainment blog site. The site features exclusive interviews, the latest music, red carpet events and up-to-date information on Haiti, Haitian community leaders, entertainers, humanitarians and business and more.
Since launching in 2011, L’union Suite has attracted over 1 million visitors from all over the world with over 100,000 subscribers via the site, Facebook, Instagram, Tumbler and Twitter.
In 2015, we build a new brand identity for the site, to kick off a big new push for the rapidly growing blog. A gold-foiled Haiti stands alone either as a central anchor or as a crowning symbol. The simple, gothic typeface and tracked lettering takes its cues from high fashion brands like Chanel, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton. The stacked version of the logo (alternate) is designed for use at smaller sizes.
Simple striped patterns make a great frame for the logo, and the simple brush swash behind the subtext adds that hand-crafted element that befits your hand-curated blog. The occasional floral element adds a splash of color and a hint of life to the otherwise stoic design.
Part of a series of Instagram looping recipes for Red Bull North and Latin America. Though stop-motion is painstaking and time-consuming, we've never had more fun producing something frame by frame.
You should try these yourself. They're delicious and #GivesYouWings.
When Hartworx Swimming Pool Service Center came to us needing a new brand image, we created a handful of stylish concepts – including this one we called "Sky Drop." It offers an intriguing combination of symbol and symmetry. The drop icon represents the linkage of three key ideas: Passion/People (red), Pools (blue), and Planet (green).
The interwoven cloud detail brings an element of photorealism to the intentionally flat design. We built-in a crisp, professional look here that we set HartWorx apart from other brands in the market by positioning it as just a bit more high-end.
Distinctly Floridian, this Atlantic-inspired identity breathes waterfront luxury with an expression of youth and forward–thinking. The purely solid colors and bold lines really translate well to printed forms, adding subtlety and maturity to the collateral and signage design.
