We created Grey Dahlia to be a conduit for expression and a proving-ground for our passions. It's built out of our mutual desire to craft things. To geek-out, zone-in, learn, explore, and grow. To build brands, share ideas, create smiles, and stir imaginations. But for more than any other reason, we built it so we could sit next to each other every day, connecting with people and ideas we love and adore, while working on our own terms from the familiar comfort of our home studio. (And, you know, so we can pay for all that pricey organic produce we can't seem to avoid out here in California.)
Grey Dahlia is not a design firm. It's not a branding agency. Nor is it an advertising company. It's more like a laboratory, and we're like a couple of unconventional but accomplished alchemists – hand-mixing digital ingredients, expertly, into potent virtual concoctions that inspire the imagination & delight of our clients and their patrons.
Based, as of 2016 (and possibly forever) in beautiful Santa Barbara, we count our surroundings as one of our strengths. Here, we're never concerned about the weather, and the cool Pacific breeze carries the scents of flowers, and the sounds of birds right through our windows. The bustling but humble metropolitan downtown is filled with creative and unique everyday people who inspire us with their fashion, their surreal art, their original wares, and their innovative food. The surrounding countryside of the Central Coast is like a paradise – a seemingly endless expanse of foothills, mountains, canyons, lakes, cliffs and trails that beckons us to come out and experience.
